What size skips are available from Oldham Bros.?
Oldham Bros. offers a wide range of skip sizes for just about every need. We offer skips in the following sizes in chain lift skips 2 Tonnes, 4 Tonnes, 8 Tonnes and 12 yard, 14 yard covered skips, and 20 and 40 yard in Roll on off skips.
Which skip size is the right for me or my business?
At Oldham Bros., we offer a full range of skips. Some are great for a bit of DIY, perhaps redoing your kitchen or bathroom, others are for more commercial use.

What materials can go into a skip?
Our skips are for disposing of inert waste - wood, cardboard, old sofas or chairs, garden waste, builders rubble . Any non-hazardous waste materials can go into our skips. If you are uncertain, please give our skip hire specialists a call on 0151 546 1616 .
What materials CAN'T go into a skip?
The following items are not to be put in skips
· Asbestos · fridges · freezers · Tvs · paint · Tyres · Gas bottles
* clinical waste - human or animal tissue, blood or other bodily fluids, excretions, drugs or other pharmaceutical products, swabs or dressings including nappies, syringes, needles or other sharp instruments
* garage waste - lead acid batteries, contaminated rags, used oil/fuel filters, aerosols, antifreeze and brake fluids
* office waste - fluorescent tubes, energy-saving light bulbs, sodium lamps, toner and ink jet cartridges from printers and photocopiers and old computer monitors.

Where can the skips be placed?
Skips should be placed on private property. They cannot be placed on the highway without a permit and correct signage and lights – our skip hire specialists can arrange these for you should you require on road siting As the vehicles delivering to your house are very large, please ensure that there is sufficient access to the point where our skips need to be delivered. If you are unsure about access, please give us a call and we can provide you with the approximate dimensions of the lorry used to deliver the skip you require, smaller skips are delivered with smaller vehicles.
Please remember that due to the stabilising equipment on a skip lorry, damage can sometimes occur to the ground where the skip is positioned. This is especially applicable to block paved and soft tarmac drives. For more information on this please contact us.
Is my waste recycled?
Recycling is very important to Oldham Bros. We use both mechanical and hand sorting methods to ensure that we salvage as much reclaimable waste as possible. As about discounts for pre segregated waste, and single waste streams.
