Acceptable wood waste for recycling:

All soft wood waste
Pallets
Offcuts/boxes/packing cases
Fencing
Floorboards
 

All of the above are acceptable if contaminated with ferrous metal
such as nails, screws, banding etc


Unacceptable wood waste for recycling:

Medium density fibreboard (MDF)
Hardboard
Melamine/Formica faced or laminated material
Cardboard (including doors with cardboard interior)
Aluminium - e.g. catches on window frames, door handles etc. (these would have to be removed from the window frames or doors)
Soil, bricks, glass, felt, polythene
Foliage, twigs and leaves
Unfaced chipboard 
Railway sleepers
Telegraph poles
